Scope of the Symposium

The 12th edition of the symposium will focus on the understanding of the role of human and animal microbial digestive ecosytems in host metabolism, welfare and health. Studies on other topics are also encouraged, such as the interplay between gut microorganisms and environment, as well as cross-talk between microorganisms and their host. Studies aiming at developing new approaches to study gut microbial ecosystems in interaction with the diet, the host and the environment will also be highly appreciated.

Scientific topics

Today, this biennal meeting is recognised as one of the most important meeting in the animal and human gut microbiology research areas.
